Some are stating that collectors and investors are carrying super fakes around in order to keep the real one in good shape. If the fake one is damaged, the value is not significantly reduced. However, if the real bag is damaged, that would be a lost in investment for the person who purchased the bag.
Another user states that they are spending RM12,000 on Louis Vuitton bags, and they are seeing those buying from DHGate for RM400 while looking exactly the same. It appears that the allure to luxury is getting lost due to the amount of fakes available on the market.
