Tamim Dahri Denies Insult
He claimed the incident occurred during a work trip to Langkawi, where he mistook the object for a rusty iron rod posing danger to visitors. Tamim insisted he had no intention of disrespecting Hindu beliefs, saying he moved the item as an act of charity.
Hindu activist Arun Dorasamy later highlighted that the object resembled a soolam, a sacred trident. Tamim, previously detained over a temple demolition case, remains a controversial figure.
