The government is rolling out a targeted diesel subsidy for Peninsular Malaysia starting June 10, 2024. Finance Minister II, YB Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, announced the move, aligning diesel prices with the market at RM3.35 per litre, while maintaining RM2.15 per litre for Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan. Subsidies are set for logistics, public transport, and fishermen.

Cash aid initiatives include BUDI Individu and BUDI Agri-Komoditi, offering RM200 monthly to diesel vehicle owners and small-scale farmers. This targeted approach aims to curb subsidised diesel leakages, redirecting funds to benefit Malaysians and national development. Eligible applicants can register online.
