Thai Government Now Offers RM72,000 Compensation Each to Malaysian Burn Victims

BANGKOK — The Thai government will provide up to 550,000 baht (RM72,000) each in compensation to two Malaysian tourists injured in a horrific arson attack on Ratchadamri Road last Thursday. Tourism and Sports Ministry permanent secretary Natreeya Taweewong said the aid covers medical expenses of up to 500,000 baht and 50,000 baht for emotional distress.
