According to Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, the faulty lifts and escalators at the Ampang Park LRT station are now fully operational following an inspection by the Health and Safety Department and as if by magic, it is working!.
The Transport Minister visited the Ampang Park LRT station on Sunday (May 22), accompanied by Senator Datuk Ras Adiba Radzi, to inspect the updates on the faulty escalators and lifts that have recently gone viral.
“After the Minister visited last night, the “dormant” escalator for nearly 6 months is ok today (before this, passengers had to use the long steep stairs to go in or out of the station). Whad’ya know? Same thing happened to an e-hailing platform, eh! This morning, the usual exorbitant fare of RM12-RM16 (at 7am and if 7.30am onwards, the fare is around RM19) for a 1.5km ride to the LRT station has magically turned to RM8!,” wrote a netizen on the Linkedin platform.
