PETALING JAYA, March 20 — Police have arrested three suspects following a fire involving a fireworks stall at Taman Pekaka, Nibong Tebal. Seberang Perai Selatan police chief Jay January Siowou said two men and one woman were remanded for three days to assist investigations under Section 286 of the Penal Code for negligent conduct involving explosives.

The incident damaged a motorcycle, two cars, and nearby premises including a restaurant and a house, though no casualties were reported. A viral 15-second video showed sparks flying into a restaurant as workers scrambled to shut its doors. The stall’s permit has since been revoked.
