A controversial opinion appeared on social media after a TikToker stated that boycotting McDonald’s would prove nothing towards a cause, but rather hurt our local workers. Additionally, he claims that it’s not easy for a service worker to find an alternative job if their workplace is shut down.

But, this opinion is not reflective towards a number of netizens as they state that humanitarian support is just as important. Boycotting these companies to them is not about hurting their revenues, but it’s in lieu of customers showing their humanitarian support.
Others state that if someone wants to continue eating at these establishments, they can, but as long as they’re mindful. This is despite the fact that most of these branches are either locally owned or owned by companies that are unrelated to the war.
