1 min read

Traffic on major Malaysian expressways slowed considerably by midday Saturday as peak travel continued, with congestion noted on the PLUS Highway, Kuala Lumpur-Karak (KLK) Expressway and the Johor-Singapore Causeway, the Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia said.

Major expressways see slower traffic as travel demand rises

Traffic northbound from Perai to Juru, Sungai Perak to Meru Tunnel, and Gopeng to Tapah was reported slow, while westbound queues were notable from Bentong to Lentang and toward Bukit Tinggi. Efforts to ease congestion included the activation of 32 smart lanes.

Travel advisories urged motorists to use official channels for updates and maintain safe driving practices during the busy weekend movements.
