Kuala Lumpur: Forest fires continue spreading in Turkey. The city of Marmaris has decided to start evacuating residents and tourists.
The fire affected southern Turkey’s provinces, is spreading near tourist cities such as Marmaris and Antalya (Antalya province, the fire spread around Manavgat).
In the small village of Kacarlar, on Turkey’s southern coast, farmers are facing apocalyptic scenes as wildfires continue to sweep the country.
“The animals are on fire,” 56-year-old resident, Muzeyyan Kacar, told CNN.
Thousands of holidaymakers are evacuated from Aegean Sea resorts. Reports say Turkey is fighting more than 50 blazes.
