KUANTAN — Two men were killed and two others injured in separate accidents in Lipis on Thursday (March 12). The first incident at KM95 Jalan Lipis-Merapoh involved an express bus and a compact car. The car driver, Safein Ab Rahman, 66, died at the scene, while his son was injured.
Two Dead
Later at KM18 Jalan Lipis-Jerantut, a trailer carrying limestone overturned on a sharp bend, colliding with a lorry and a car. Trailer driver Shahfik Fanzi Rosli, 41, was killed, while the lorry driver sustained injuries. Police are investigating both cases under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
