Two more enforcement officers at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) have been remanded for allegedly being involved in a bribery syndicate that facilitated the entry of foreigners without proper checks.

The suspects, aged 30 to 40, were detained around 6:30 AM on Tuesday while giving statements at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office. They have been remanded for four days.
The suspects allegedly received cash payments between RM300 and RM2,500 since 2016. This follows the remand of five suspects, including three enforcement officers, on August 30. MACC Chief Commissioner Azam Baki confirmed the arrests and said the case is being investigated under Section 17(a) of the MACC Act 2009.
