A coroner’s inquiry on January 20 heard that two young people—an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl—died after consuming methamphetamine (Ice) for the first time at a three-storey house in Singapore. The man was found dead in his bedroom with rigor mortis setting in, blunt head and face injuries (not suspicious), white powdery substances, green capsules, and vaping devices nearby.
Ice Use
The girl was discovered unconscious in another room alongside a third person and later pronounced dead at Changi General Hospital. Autopsies confirmed Ice in both bodies. Police found no evidence of prior acquaintance or mutual friends. Text messages indicated the man had obtained Ice with intent to sell.
