This RM3,000 salary is an increase from the RM2,400 offered in 2022. Additionally, Malaysia’s minimum wage will rise from RM1,500 to RM1,700 in February 2025.
Social media users expressed surprise, noting that Uniqlo’s salary is higher than many other professions, including engineering graduates. Many saw it as a sign of underpayment in other sectors.
