KOTA BHARU – Pas vice-president Datuk Mohd Amar Abdullah revealed that former Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Waytha Moorthy, has moved closer to the party as they share the political goal of rejecting Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s leadership. According to him, Waytha came on his own accord after seeing alignment in the opposition’s struggle. However, there have been no formal discussions on further cooperation. Waytha previously filed a lawsuit challenging Anwar’s appointment as Prime Minister in 2022. Perikatan Nasional denied involvement in the suit, though Waytha’s growing ties with the opposition have drawn increasing attention.
