With the recent criticisms towards our Bangladeshi workers, netizens have brought up several points about how Western tourists and expats are visiting/living here. A TikToker states that she and her White companion were traveling in Malaysia and they have not showered for three days.

In the tourist’s defense, the water in their hotel shower is yellow. However, netizens state that it is rust from the pipes. Despite this, most individuals would not use water that is not clean and clear. But netizens recommended the tourists use bottled water to shower instead.
There are several unkind comments directed to the tourists as users state they will pinch their nose and make a non-verbal gesture about their smells. Regardless, some may find this reaction to be rude as we also travel to their countries and are probably breaking their norms as well.
