A woman in her 30s was killed while her friend sustained serious injuries after their Perodua Myvi crashed at Jalan Suka Menanti, Alor Setar, last night. Kota Setar District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Syed Basri Syed Ali, said the incident occurred around 8.20 p.m. when the car, deemed suspicious, was pursued by police.

One victim died at the scene, while the other was rushed to hospital. Police later discovered 210 grams of heroin inside the vehicle. Both victims had prior records involving drugs and crime. The case is being investigated under the Dangerous Drugs Act and Road Transport Act. More car crashes!
