New: Zahid hints that he is at the end of his parliamentary career

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who has been the Bagan Datuk MP since 1995, suggested that he is nearing the end of his parliamentary career. Speaking at a Deepavali charity event in Bagan Datuk, he expressed his desire to see the constituency develop, excel in education, and eliminate poverty across communities.

While he didn’t specify a departure timeline, he hinted it might coincide with future General Elections, such as PRU 16, 17, or 18. Zahid is committed to working towards poverty eradication in his constituency before stepping down, aligning with the Prime Minister’s goal of eliminating extreme poverty nationwide.
