A woman was threatened after allegedly sharing a 20-second gyrating drill video that went viral and caused the cancellation of a carnival event in Simpang Renggam in October. Kluang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Noh, stated that a report regarding the local woman being threatened by an unknown man via a phone call was received on October 26.

Following the report, a team of officers from the Kluang and Segamat District Police Headquarters detained a 49-year-old local man on Buluh Kasap Road at around 2:15 pm on Wednesday. The investigation is ongoing under Section 507 of the Penal Code, which carries a penalty of up to two years in prison or a fine or both.
