Zaid recalled that Anwar had previously benefited from support by American media and Neoconservative officials, who helped raise his international profile. He noted that Bloomberg holds significant influence in both political and financial circles in New York.
According to Zaid, Anwar’s harsh stance against Bloomberg is unexpected, given his past ties with corporate America and the Neocons. He warned that continuing such a dispute could undermine Anwar’s credibility and global relationships.
