12 Police Detained in Kajang in Cryptocurrency Loss of a Foreigner

SHAH ALAM, Feb 19 — Twelve police personnel have been detained to assist investigations into the loss of cryptocurrency belonging to a foreign national in Kajang earlier this month. Selangor Police Chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar confirmed that a report was lodged at 2.06 p.m. on Feb. 6, leading to immediate action against the officers.

Cryptocurrency Loss

The case is being investigated under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code, which cover gang robbery and armed robbery. Shazeli stressed that the department will not compromise with any personnel found involved in criminal activities. He urged the public to allow investigations to proceed without speculation, assuring that the police are committed to transparency and accountability in handling the matter.
