A family in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan, was startled when a 15kg reticulated python fell through their ceiling. The incident occurred at the Rumah Rakyat Padang Lebar housing scheme on September 5. The Civil Defence team, led by Lieutenant Mohamad Ghazali Abd Rahim, received the distress call at 9:50 am and immediately dispatched a three-man team. Upon arrival, the family informed the team that the snake had slithered into the bathroom, where they quickly shut the door. The team later captured the python, which was coiled around a mirror. The snake was handed over to the Wildlife and National Parks Department.
