Dedicated Cemetery For Muslim COVID-19 Victims

Kuala Lumpur: According to Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, minister in the prime minister’s department (religious matters), the government would look into the need to establish a dedicated cemetery to accommodate the funerals of Muslims who died of Covid-19.

He states that consultations with the National Fatwa Council and the muftis of all states would be held to obtain their perspectives on the topic.

“The Federal Territories, particularly Kuala Lumpur, will be the emphasis.

“This is to ensure that we can properly manage the bodies of individuals who died from Covid-19.”
