Kuala Lumpur: A gift given and taken while in power is a form of corruption says the Mufti of Perlis, Datuk Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin.
The conclusion was made based on the words of Rasullullah S.A.W taken from the narration of Al-Bukhari, he says.
He was referring to the Malaysian Anti -Corruption Commission (MACC) conclusion that the RM2.6 billion put into ex-Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s personal account was donations. The Mufti’s conclusion was in 2015.
