Datuk Paul Igai asked the Minister of Foreign Affairs to state Malaysia’s stance on the latest developments in Afghanistan in view of the current crisis regarding the government domination by the Taliban in the country which can teach many lessons to the world.
Saifuddin Abdullah says Malaysia any development in Afghanistan must be centred on the interests of its stakeholders and the aspirations of its own people.
As an OIC member state, Malaysia supports the jointly decided stand on developments in Afghanistan, namely OIC’s commitment and support to Afghanistan, promote national peace and compliance with international law and resolutions and the UN Charter; and protecting and respecting the right to life, security and dignity of the Afghan people.
