A recent viral tweet has netizens making fun of the latest face mask made by Jovian as Dato Siti Nurhaliza was seen pulling its strings until it snapped. This also caught on more attention after the government announced having SIRIM certifications for face masks starting this year onwards.
Netizens are turning this around with light hearted jokes saying that she is doing a public service showing that Jovian masks aren’t durable as they claim to be. This also shows the love the public has for her for being one of the most iconic singers in Malaysia. Currently Jovian sells 3-ply disposable face masks for RM30 on Shopee, and their unique strategy is to sell masks for Hijabis.

Hijabis, known as women who wear the ‘tudung’ or known as hijab face difficulties to wear regular masks as it would be difficult for them to take it off and put it back on especially in public. The Jovian face mask does seem to be a popular one among them as it is running low on stock online as it is. @LatestMalaysia
