Shafee Abdullah, Najib’s star lawyer who was fired as his defence lawyer weeks before the SRC International appeal was not happy with questions from the media on Najib Razak’s first days in prison.
Someone asked him how is Najib doing in prison. His reply was swift, roaring and terse. While not answering, he accused the media of twisting his words.
“I can’t say anything, I’m not saying anything because you twist and turn our words, even in the court,” he told reporters outside the court complex here this afternoon. Go and find out yourselves,” he added tersely before walking away.
