It’s encouraging news for many who probably wished Singapore Airlines or SIA had allowed that long ago that an airline is now allowing cabin crew members to become pregnant.
As cruel as it is, before that, stewardesses who disclosed they were pregnant were forced to quit the airline the day after submitting their child’s birth certificate. And they could no nothing to fight back against arbitrary firing.
But now that there is this thing called the ‘great resignation’ and airlines as well as the tourism/hotel industries are hit badly by a shortage of workforce, SIA has realised that it needs its crew on its side.
