Voters Are Worried Borders Will Choke On Voting Day

Malaysians working in Singapore hope that law enforcement agencies, particularly the immigration department, are prepared to deal with the large crowds expected to return home for the general election.

They said they were willing to put up with the traffic to vote, but they hoped that the agencies could deploy more officers to help ease the situation.

The Woodlands Causeway is one of the world’s busiest border crossings. Prior to the pandemic, approximately 415,000 people used the Causeway and the Tuas Second Link borders on a daily basis.
