November, No Public Holidays

1 min read

In Malaysia, we are used to having public holidays quite frequently. This would then give the chance for corporate workers to unwind from their daily struggles. However, the month of November is usually dreaded towards workers as it typically has no off days.

However, this November it is different as on the 19th it is election day. Usually, election days are given as a day off to most people for obvious reasons. University students mentioned that November is their semester break month.

Unfortunately, the election day is held on a Saturday. It is unclear if any corporate offices would give an extra day off for travelling. Netizens called for a boycott of the election as there are no compensation days as a holiday.
