PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang has, at last, given signs that he is accepting defeat in the wake of Anwar Ibrahim becoming PM of a coalition government.
He said that Perikatan Nasional plans to retake the government by winning the next general election, denying that PN has plans to overthrow the government. He was asked to comment on Arau MP Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim’s recent statement about plans to topple the current unity government.
Hadi accepting defeat
“PN is working towards the next general election (and) with the strength that we have we will boost that. Let’s look at this current government’s actions, what are the rakyat’s reactions (towards) a government that I don’t even know what name to give it,” Hadi told reporters after leaving the Sentul District Police Headquarters.
