Nur Jazlan said the coalition headed by Umno should unite to fight the green wave and the decision to work with the PH in an Umno-PH coalition to establish a unity government is the correct one.
He said this because PKR and the Democratic Action Party (DAP) are seen to be able to hold negotiations and tolerate each other in the process of forming the government and the Cabinet while PM Anwar built a government with equal chances to all coalition parties.
He praised DAP for not chasing Ministerial posts and sacrificing for Anwar to become PM and Anwar followed tradition by giving more Malays ministerial posts.
UMNO-PH Coalition strength
Nur Jazlan also praised the political cooperation especially between UMNO, PKR and DAP because the three parties have their own strengths taking into account their respective voter base, which will help them win voters of various races in an election.
“When it comes to the survival of the political future, we can see how the cooperation between UMNO and PH can form a strong alliance.
“UMNO is strong in Malay majority areas, PKR is stable in mixed seats while DAP is strong enough to get support from Chinese voters,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
UMNO-PH Coalition voters
“PH can rely on the influence of UMNO to get Malay votes, especially in rural areas, while PKR can win the hearts of some urban Malay voters and mixed Chinese and Indian voters.
DAP will certainly become a magnet for Chinese voters to support the cooperation between UMNO and PH,” he said.
