An Indonesian woman, Liza Dewi Pramita, went to extremes to fake her death just so she could wiggle her way out of repaying a debt owed to a woman she met on Facebook but when the deadline came, Liza’s daughter posted photos of her mother, dead in a hospital.
However, the woman who lent the money to Liza became suspicious after she learned that the woman will be buried in Aceh, which is a long distance away from Liza’s residence.
Indonesian woman Borrowed S$364
Speaking to Tribun Medan, Maya said she loaned a Liza Dewi Pramita a sum of IDR4.2 million, or roughly S$364. After the supposed death of the person, the lender, Maya Gunawan did a search and found that some of the pictures accompanying the death announcement came from another website and could not have been those of Liza.
She also realised that the pictures of what appeared to be Liza’s corpse, all dressed in white and with pieces of cotton stuffed up both sides of her nostrils, did not portray that of a dead woman. Maya grew furious and took to Facebook to air her grievances.
