After the whole ordeal on the alcohol time bannings, another netizen has shared his opinion regarding the matter on Twitter. It appears that Singapore has a strict rule of no public drinking from 10:30pm till 7am. However, some are asking that we have the same laws that prohibits alcohol sale at night.

However, others corrected him by stating that Singapore does prohibit public drinking after 10:30pm except for licensed places such as bars and nightclubs. This is done to curb any potential riots and public intoxication incidents in the country. Malaysia apparently has the same laws too.
Netizens do agree on alcohol being more regulated and are substances that should be consumed with proper control. However, many do not agree with banning the entire substance.
Others are stating that if we outright ban alcohol, consumers will definitely find a way to purchase them illegally. Similar to illegal substances like chemical drugs, even though they are banned, there are people still purchasing them.
