For those that know about fashion, you will know that Gucci is frequently aligned with happy colours, party looks coupled with a vintage look. However, ever since Alessandro Michelle departed the Italian fashion house, the brand has taken a more “subtle” (boring) approach to their ready-to-wear line.
Gucci’s lacklustre look
Their new lineup looks as though Balenciaga merged with Christian Dior and has the word “Gucci” slapped on the label. The designs are not bold, not unique and very bland. There are luxury brands out there that can make bland fashionable, unfortunately for this new collection, it is not.
Netizens are stating that the collection is giving RM10,000 Zara vibes. The nicest comments about the new look is that it’s not bad but not good either. However, some fashion lovers think that this is a transition to where the brand might head.
Others stated that there’s no magic, no art, nothing special about this “new look.” This look is not meant for the fashion runway, said another netizen. Gucci could’ve released a new look book and be done with it.
