One’s financial income is apparently one of the trending topics among Malaysians. There have been numerous debates on Twitter regarding it. Recently, a viral TikTok video was bashed on Twitter for a girl mocking fresh graduates that are asking for an RM3,000 salary.

Income is on the minds of Malaysians

Reported by The Reporter, it seems that a study has shown those making less money tend to live shorter. The study was done in the United States in the last 12 years. A 38% chance for those making less with a family of four to live less than those who are making more.

Netizens took it with a grain of salt. Some were even joking about it. Even the official account for Lotus, formerly Tesco in Malaysia responded to the tweet. Others state that they are on the lower salary scale and are starting to say their goodbyes in a joking manner.
