The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) have stated that buying match tickets not only supports the national team but also helps in the conservation of the Malayan tigers.
FAM’s contribution for the conservation of Malayan tigers
FAM will donate RM1 from every national team match ticket sold to KBS to aid the conservation of the iconic Malayan tigers. Unfortunately, they are currently at risk of extinction. FAM President, Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin, is optimistic that this cooperation will provide conclusive evidence of the organisations’ dedication to preserving the Malayan tigers.
Meanwhile, Youth and Sports Minister, Hannah Yeoh, has called upon all young football enthusiasts to participate in the conservation of the Malayan tigers as well. She does not want the tiger to merely be a mascot or a slogan without the existence of wild tigers in the forests of the country.
