The Barisan Nasional’s (BN) decision to utilise the “dacing” symbol in the upcoming six state elections is known by the Council of Unity Government Consultation. The Secretary-General of the Pakatan Harapan (PH), Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, states that this was informally communicated between the leaders of both coalitions.
BN continues with “Dacing” symbol
The decision to use the symbol is within the domain of the political coalition’s decision-making as the Unity Government (UG) does not have a logo. The election committee, facing the state elections, and the Consultation Council, discussing election agendas, are among the three frameworks that help the Unity Government move forward.
Although discussions on the formula for seat allocation have taken place within PH and BN, they are not final. Both sides agree on parameters to guide the seat allocation negotiations. Since PH and BN have their logos, the President of UMMO, DPM Zahid Hamidi, made the decision to use the “dacing” symbol within the BN domain.
