PAS, one of the components of the opposition coalition, Perikatan Nasional has set their eyes on Selangor for the past few months. Harakah Daily states that PAS is growing in popularity with PN in Selangor, as the state transitions away from the dominance of PKR and DAP since the 2008 General Election (PRU). However, netizens disagree with this.
PAS desperate to control Selangor
A netizen states that the current Menteri Besar is doing the best he can for the state. She also states that they are emphasizing on taking care of the rakyat. The states that are under PAS’ control are not even close when it comes to the prosperity of Selangor.
The current government is helping Selangorians with all sorts of benefits and aids, which the others under the opposition do not have. Netizens are stating that they are vehemently against the opposition parties taking over. One netizen adds that they do not want Selangor to turn into Kelantan or Kedah.
Others state that the opposition party will ruin Selangor, especially based on their track record in Kelantan. One Twitter user alleges that these opposition members will sell off lands to their family members at ridiculous prices. He is also urging the people of Selangor to make a wise decision when it comes to voting for the right party during the state elections.
