Luxury brands like Balenciaga, YSL, Gucci typically sell their t-shirts for around RM1,800 (on sale) and RM2,000-3,000 full price. However, it seems that Chanel is taking the cake by selling theirs for over RM20,000. Their route to being the most expensive brand out there is being cemented.
Chanel T-Shirts for RM20K?
Recently, a TikToker shared her experience of trying on a new Chanel top, which looks alright, but the price is a shocker to many. It was US$ 4,450 which is RM20,000 without tax. In Malaysia they have other options for them selling for around RM23,000. Talks about the massive price increases is also another common topic for discussion.
A commenter states that the shirt would probably cost Chanel $40 (RM200) to make, and they are marking up their prices to exorbitant levels. Others state that no shirt is worth that much, irregardless of how well it’s made. Regardless, there would be a tiny minority of people who would still spend the dough on these items.
