Malaysia’s national football team has made significant progress in the latest world rankings, climbing one spot to reach number 137. This achievement marks the team’s best position in 17 years, since May 2006 when they occupied the 127th spot.

The team’s successful performance in two Tier 1 international friendlies in Terengganu earned them 9.44 points, contributing to their total of 1,091.57 points. In the regional context, Malaysia ranks 24th in Asia and fourth in Southeast Asia, trailing behind Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines.
