Some are speculating that this is due to the controversy when Wee Ka Siong claims a flight ticket to East Malaysia is over RM3,000. The tickets were searched on the AirAsia SuperApp but were ironically Malaysia Airlines’ tickets. Now, it seems that our national carrier is unhappy with the misrepresentation it has, especially when a competitor is selling their tickets.

Malaysia Airlines UNHAPPY with AirAsia selling their tickets

It seems that netizens are siding Malaysia Airlines on this issue as they are joking that this is probably the only way anyone can ever get their money back from AirAsia. Furthermore, it is always known that the low cost carrier is sometimes unfavoured among Malaysians due to their numerous issues.

Others are querying on whether our national carrier will sue Expedia and other sites reselling air tickets. However, others responded by stating that these websites may have authorisation with Malaysia Airlines. On the other hand, AirAsia’s app does not have the right, and was allegedly raising the prices on MAS tickets on the app.
