Wage theft is a pervasive issue where employees are denied their rightful earnings, claim Malaysians. This problem takes various forms, including unpaid overtime and salaries below the minimum wage. In Malaysia, @23Potteh highlighted how wage theft has exacerbated the wage gap between employees and affluent employers. Some are saying bread that used to be 0.30 sen is now RM1.30 but basic salaries remained the same over the years!
