Muhyiddin Yassin has applied to the court for the unconditional release of his passport saying he has to go to Singapore for health checkups. The ex-prime minister adds he needs it for a month-long family holiday in the UK too. He is, however, still facing three money laundering charges involving about RM200 million.

“Until today, the public prosecutor has not responded to my letter,” he says in an application filed by solicitors Chetan Jethwani & Company in the sessions court on Monday. The case will be mentioned before sessions judge Azura Alwi next Wednesday.
