New: Cops Deny Dog Satay Sold in Manjung

The police and local authorities in Manjung, have denied a social media post alleging that foreigners were selling satay made from dog meat near a hypermarket in Sitiawan. They confirmed the post to be untrue and clarified that no such incident occurred in the area. The incident mentioned in the post actually took place at the Geylang Raya Bazaar in Singapore in 2017.

The police setting the record straight says the rumour was untrue said. “I have not received any information about the incident and I am certain what was posted did not happen in Manjung,” stated Manjung police chief ACP Mohamed Nordin Abdullah when contacted by Bernama.
