Balenciaga recently dropped their Towel skirts after receiving all sorts of criticisms from others on social media. Furthermore, the price of these towel skirts are expensive at RM3,800 a piece. However, IKEA came back with a response by promoting their own towel “skirts” that cost around RM40.

To those that could afford these towel skirts, many are questioning as to where they would even wear them. X users claim that the IKEA version looks better than the Balenciaga version. However, the Balenciaga version is made in Italy and the brand claims that this is a unisex item.
Netizens are also praising the Swedish brand for being able to emulate a luxury brand as a marketing campaign. Regardless, the unspoken “beef” the Swedish furniture brand has with Balenciaga is made since the latter copied the famous blue bag.
