McDonald’s apparently did a campaign to give free food to riders, however, this was some time ago. Netizens state that it is unclear if they’re still doing it now in lieu of the boycotts looming across Malaysia. For the most part, foreign restaurants are having fewer customers across the country.
For the most part, netizens agree upon supporting local restaurants and chains instead of patroning ones from overseas. Regardless, some are arguing that these companies are one of the biggest hires for the locals in Malaysia.
