Effective June 1, all international departures from Terminal 1 of the KLIA 1 will incur a passenger service charge of RM73, and RM50 for KLIA 2 MAVCOM says, adding that the PSC is applicable to domestic flights altogether. The PSC for international departures will increase to RM73, affecting passengers traveling within or beyond ASEAN.

Additionally, a new transfer PSC is introduced for passengers transferring through Malaysian airports, with rates of RM7 for domestic and RM29-42 for international transfers. MAVCOM emphasized that these changes aim to support the aviation industry’s recovery and competitiveness while ensuring passenger welfare and airport financial stability. Executive Chairman Datuk Seri Saripuddin Kasim highlighted the measures to prevent passenger burden and stimulate travel demand.
