There have been several speculations in the past about our largest airport, KLIA. However, it seems that there were more terminals that should’ve been built. The airport is using the coined term “satellite terminal” as there is no other way to reach it than by the aero train or bus, which we can see is a failed concept.
KLIA supposed to be 4x the size now
The satellite concept is not an easy one as maintaining the trains are the most important part of the deal. But for a period of time, buses were used to transport passengers to their aircraft. Many claim that our 4th Prime Minister bit too much that he can’t chew it all, as they discussed the abandoned Putrajaya monorail project.
Netizens are awaiting for the re-opening of the aerotrain again as it is wildly inconvenient for passengers to commute between the terminal buildings by bus. Most thought that the airport should’ve had another satellite terminal, but apparently, the masterplan stated that there should be four.
