Families face sudden eviction in Selangor

Residents were left with a paltry RM1,000 moving incentive, insufficient for the urgent relocation required by Monday. Only 14 out of 30 affected families received this sum. PAS Selangor highlighted the residents’ dismay on Twitter, emphasizing their right to fair compensation and negotiation.

The residents, some of whom have lived there for over 35 years, now face the devastation of their community with minimal support. The incident raises questions about the state’s commitment to its citizens’ welfare and the ethical considerations of urban development.
