In the High Court hearing of SRC International Sdn Bhd’s US$1.18 billion lawsuit against Najib Abdul Razak, former director Suboh Md Yassin testified that Najib, referred to as “boss” and “pihak atas” (superior), exercised full control over the company’s operations.
Pihak atas
Suboh, who joined SRC in 2011, described the company as operating like a government department under Najib, who was both prime minister and finance minister. He claimed Najib’s directives were absolute, likening his role to that of a civil servant. SRC is suing Najib and former CEO Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil for misappropriating company property and conspiring to convert it for personal use.
